Abstract
This study aims to examine the effects of workload and work motivation on employee productivity, with job satisfaction serving as an intervening variable at PT. IB. A quantitative explanatory research design was employed, involving all 85 employees througha total sampling technique. Data were collected using a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4. The results indicate that all constructs met the required validity and reliability criteria, with R² values of 0.693 for job satisfaction and 0.701 for employee productivity. Workload had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction (β = 0.399; p < 0.001), as did work motivation (β = 0.619; p < 0.001). Job satisfaction positively affected employee productivity (β = 0.396; p < 0.001). Workload and work motivation also had significant direct effects on productivity. Furthermore, job satisfaction partially mediated the effects of workload and work motivation on employee productivity.
