Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine how workplace conditions, leadership choices, and workforce reduction affect worker productivity in manufacturing firms. The difficulties the manufacturing industry faces in preserving operational effectiveness and handling personnel reductions in the face of international competitiveness serve as the driving force behind this study. Thirty production workers participated as respondents in a quantitative study using a census design. Questionnaires were used to gather data, and SPSS was used for validity, reliability, multiple linear regression, t-test, and F-test analyses. The findings show that workforce reduction, leadership decision-making, and the work environment all significantly affect employee productivity at the same time, accounting for 43.4% of the total. While personnel reduction has no discernible effect on productivity, the work environment and leadership decision-making have a favorable and considerable impact. These results imply that even amidworkforce efficiency initiatives, productivity can be increased by a supportive work environment and a participative leadership style. This study provides practical implications for manufacturing management to improve workplace conditions and adopt inclusive decision-making processes to maintain employee productivity amid organizational changes and workforce adjustments.
